Thanks for this. The Fraser Institute tax freedom day has always annoyed me. You mentioned some of the worst issues but then the pod cast cut off at CPP and EI premiums. The one that bothers me is that they say that I am indirectly paying the taxes of the corporations (and the employees of those corporations) whom I buy products and services from. It’s as if life would get better for me if those poor corporations wouldn’t have to pay tax - I might have freedom from tax on June 1 that way!
